MDFA 1st Division: Vailankanni Boys continue Group D domination

PIFA Colaba U19 ride on Aman Gaikwad’s hattrick to beat The Catholic Gymkhana 4-1, while in other game, Vailankanni Boys blanked IDBI 5-0.

1st Division:

In a group C fixture, after starting with two draws, Catholic Gymkhana faced their first defeat against PIFA Colaba U19. Aman Gaikwad struck a hat-trick while Omkar Shinde chipped in with one for PIFA Colaba U19, at the other end, Dozwin D’costa got the consolation goal for Catholic Gymkhana. The win sent PIFA to the third spot in group C table while Catholic Gymkhana remained at the 6th spot.

In another 1st division game, Vailankanni Boys FC smashed five past a miserable IDBI to make it four wins in a row. In a dominating performance, Clifton Colaso opened the scoring with a quick early brace while Renfered Fernandes then slotted home the third one around the half hour mark which was immediately followed by Atharva Bhosale making it 4-0. Renferd then completed his brace with a 47th minute strike to complete a 5-0 routing of the IDBI.

2nd Division:                                                                              

In second division game between CSL and Charkop FC, the latter came up triumphs with 2-0 result. The game started with Charkop FC taking the lead in the very first minute through Prathamesh Koli which was doubled around the half hour mark by Sanket Kadam.

In another 2nd division fixture, Sporting Option FC played out a draw against Castle Boys SC to deny latter a 2nd spot in group G table. Mohith Gatty opened the scoring in the 40th minute before Paritosh Gohil equalised for Sporting Option to finish the game on level terms.

Game 4: Sporting Option FC (Paritosh Gohil 54’) 1 – 1 Castle Boys SC (Mohith Gatty 40’)
