ONGC vs PIFA to play today in Elite Division

17th December 2017, Mumbai: Last season’s runner-up ONGC (Oil & Natural Gas Corporation) to face PIFA Colaba in a tricky encounter at Cooperage Stadium in the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) Elite Division clash later today.

ONGC will be heading towards the match on the back of a 1-1 draw against Western Railway when they conceded in very last minute which rescued a crucial point for the Railways. while PIFA Colaba drew their previous match 1-1 against MS (Maharashtra State) Police where they were quite wasteful in front of goal.

Currently, ONGC sits seventh in the Elite Division table, whereas, PIFA is lying at the sixth spot. Both the sides have shown way too much complacency in their previous matches where the result could have gone in their way had not for being wasteful.

Today, irrespective of the result, both the outfits must step their game up in order to bounce back after a cagey start to the Elite Division campaign. Parminder Singh and Himanshu Patil of ONGC will be the players to look out for as they are in a good shape coming into the match, while Kamran Ansari, Sushant Jadhav, and Afzar Noorani have been quite good for PIFA so far.
