Mumbai City FC battles back to draw against ICL Mumbai

In another MPL encounter, Mumbai City FC showed some impressive resilience, staging a remarkable comeback from a 2-0 halftime deficit to draw 2-2 against ICL Mumbai. The result marks consecutive draws for Mumbai City FC in the playoff round.

ICL Mumbai asserted their dominance in the first half, taking the lead in the 18th minute. Rahul’s long ball found Zeeshan, who cuts it to his left foot beating two defenders before unleashing a brilliant curler from the edge of the box. Subhajit Belel’s forward run and pass found Sartape, who unleashed a powerful strike from outside the box, reducing the deficit to 2-1. Mumbai City FC continued to apply pressure, and around the hour mark, they found the equalizer. After a header hit the side bar, and a Sartape strike hit the top bar again, Sayyam Desai headed the rebound in to make it 2-2.

Both teams pressed for a winning goal, but the match ended in a 2-2 draw, with both sides settling for a share of the points. The result leaves both teams with points earned, as the league continues to be exciting.
