Bombay Gymkhana Colts triumphs over Chembur United in MFA 1st Division clash

Pallon Shroff’s hattrick the difference in the game as Bombay Gymkhana colts kick off MFA 1st Division campaign with a 3-0 win over Chembur United
Right from the opening whistle, Bombay Gymkhana Colts showcased their attacking prowess, with Pallon leading the charge. A few early attempts culminated in a spectacular goal, as Pallon’s precise shot found the back of the net, to break the deadlock.
Not content with just one goal, Pallon swiftly struck again, this time capitalizing on an assist from Jersey no. 10 to double Bombay Gymkhana’s lead. Despite Chembur United’s attempts to mount a comeback, they were unable to capitalize on a free-kick opportunity, failing to convert it into a goal.
Meanwhile, Pallon Shroff continued his masterclass performance, completing his hat-trick with a sublime finish, courtesy of a mesmerizing lofted assist from Jersey no. 27.
After the strategic break, Chembur United intensified their efforts to mount a comeback, but Bombay Gymkhana’s defense, led by their vigilant goalkeeper, thwarted every attack. Chembur went close to breaking their opponent when Elton’s grounded shot forced a good saved from the keeper, ensuring Bombay Gymkhana maintained their clean sheet.
With Chembur United coming out in full force to attack in the second half, Bombay Gymkhana adopted a more defensive approach, focusing on protecting their lead. Though they made occasional attempts on the opponent post, their primary focus was on maintaining their defensive solidity.
Chembur United, on the other hand, pushed forward in search of goals, with Abujafar coming close to scoring with a well-placed cross shot from the left flank. However, Bombay Gymkhana’s resolute defense held firm, denying Chembur United any opportunity to claw their way back into the game.
As the final whistle blew, Bombay Gymkhana emerged victorious with a commanding 3-0 scoreline. Pallon Shroff’s remarkable hat-trick propelled his team to a memorable win, setting the stage for an exciting season ahead. For Chembur United, despite the disappointment of defeat, there were glimpses of promise and potential especially in the second half that should bode well for the challenges that lie ahead in the season.
