MYJ-GMSC dominates PIFA with a commanding 5-0 win in Mumbai Premier League

In a spectacular display of dominance, MYJ-GMSC secured a resounding 5-0 victory against PIFA Colaba, propelling them to the second position in the Mumbai Premier League standings.

From the opening whistle, MYJ-GMSC set the tone with relentless aggression, creating multiple scoring opportunities early on. The attacking duo of Tousif Malik and Adithyan posed constant threats, narrowly missing out on goals due to offside calls and a resilient PIFA defense. However, MYJ-GMSC’s persistence paid off in the 15th minute when Tousif Malik capitalized on a well-placed ball, breaking through the offside trap to slot the ball into the top right corner.

Building on their momentum, MYJ-GMSC extended their lead as Keegan Pereira netted a header from a corner delivered by Pravin Kumavat. MYJ-GMSC continued with their attack as Akshay took the ball deep in the right wing and successfully crossed the ball to middle of the box to find Shannon Pereira, who collected it well before striking a shot targeting the top right corner, scoring another goal for his team and taking the lead to 3-0.

In the 41st minute, Pravin Kumavat then added another to the tally to make it 4-0. Even In final moments of the first half MYJ continued their onslaught as Shannon Pereira managed to divert a well found pass towards Akshay inside the box, he collected the pass successfully and shot it inside the nets scoring yet another goal in 45 minute of the game. With this first half reached its conclusion with MYJ dominating the match completely.

The second half saw PIFA resiliently defending against MYJ-GMSC’s attacks, showcasing commendable defensive efforts. Some good goalkeeping, couple of close calls and a woodwork coming to their rescue. At the other end, despite PIFA best effort in going forward in attack, MYJ-GMSC’s defense stood firm, denying any goal-scoring opportunities.

With this commanding win, MYJ-GMSC solidifies its position in the Mumbai Premier League, leaving an indelible mark on the league standings.
