Kerala Blasters vs FC Goa: Strength, Weakness, Player to watch out

Floundering Kerala Blasters will take buoyant FC Goa, in an away fixture for the former, eyeing their first victory of the tournament. Kerala Blasters had managed to perform a good play against Mumbai City FC but was outclassed by their second-half performance. On the other side, FC Goa trounced Bengaluru FC in their latest clash and will be looking to remain positive.
Let’s take a look at the Strength, Weakness, and Player to watch out.
Kerala Blasters
Strength
Kerala Blasters have a tenacious flock of defenders at the back to guard. The stunning performance of Sandesh Jhingan and Co, before Rino Anto getting substituted was up to the mark. The team also has the service of glittering attackers and equally powerful midfielders.
Weakness
The team has scored only one goal from their recent three fixtures. A bad start for a team which has the service of Iain Hume, CK Vineeth and Co, Rene will have to cure this defect to edge past ample Goan side. The lack of equally strong substitutes can also be felt in the squad.
Player to watch
Rino Anto – After first two dreadful games for this defender, Rino had an impressive game against Mumbai City FC. He was there up to the task of denying the attacks, and his assisting Mark Sifneos goal was a touch of class.
FC Goa
Strength
The band of remorseless attackers to pierce past any renowned defense is what makes FC Goa side indomitable. We’ve seen them demolishing the well organized Bengaluru defence last game, and it will be a tough test for Kerala Blasters defenders too.
Weakness
Lobera has problems at the back of the team. Kattimani has not yet been able to get back to his peak performance, and the lack of steadiness in the defense was visible against Bengaluru as their 10 men team slotted two goals in the second half. A perfect rectification for this curse, or not, Lobera will have to witness the quality players like Iain Hume and Berbatov triggering past the goal.
Player to watch
Ferran Corominos – No Bengaluru FC fans will ever forget this man. Coro was whirlwind that upset the entire Bengaluru FC fraternity with his presence, touches, and of course goals. Coro will look to resume his stellar performance, this time against Kerala Blasters.
