Altamas’ hat trick sealed it for Grey Athletic

Group A fixture was played on 23rd December 2016, at Xavier’s Ground, Parel featuring MMC & Grey Athletic kicked off at 2:30 pm.
In the 11th minute, MMC conceded a free-kick just outside the box at the centre of the arch confidently taken by Altamas as he swerves it into the right bracket of the goal making it 1-0 for the Green team.
Later in the 21st minute, the lone scorer got a chance to make it double by a quality through ball from the flanks but was too slow to make it count.
Ajay Makwana for the trailing side took charge of a free-kick spotted in the right flank later was converted into an own goal by Faizan Ansari in the 25th minute who tried to defend the ball by his head slipping into the post making it 1-1, but then in the 33rd minute Altamas got his brace as he struck the ball from inside the box making it 2-1 until half time.
In the second half, Shadab Ansari fed Altamas with a lovely through ball from the left flank but was too slow to finish it as the defenders cleared it out to safety.
First Yellow card was awarded to Mohsin in the 46th minute by Referee Saliam Shaikh for a foul on the MMC player in the other minute was pulled out by his manager putting in Shirtej Patil to play the rest of the game.
Altamas in the 51st minute again missed it to make a hat trick which was through on his feet by Rizwan.
Another yellow card to Navin Wadekar in the 57th min for a harsh tackle on the Athletic player.
A scoring chance missed as the goal kick in the 58th minute blocked by Shadab Ansari got in the feet of Rizwan who stroke a powerful shot on target, miss directed by the MMC’s keeper hitting the cross bar quickly taken by Shirtej Patil went just above the goal post.
What a save by the Athletic Goalie Anas Ansari, beautifully fed by Ajay Makwana to Praful Wapel who failed to equalise it.
Corner in the 67th minute taken by Faizan Ansari was calmly headed by Atlamas with a hat-trick of the game making it 3-1 as it was the last goal of the game sealing it all for Grey Athletic’s.
Just before the full-time whistle Yogesh Nizap also got on to the referee’s note book conceding a yellow card in the 70+2 minutes.
Resulting full-time score line: 3-1 in the favour of Grey Athletic.
