PIFA Colaba to host DSK Shivajians in U-16 Y-League

PIFA Colaba

An underachieved PIFA Colaba side will welcome DSK Shivajians in the Under-16 Youth League (Maharashtra Zone) Group B match on Saturday noon at Cooperage Stadium, Churchgate. The boys in orange are heading towards the match following a 0-0 stalemate against Steadfast FC – Mumbai Rush SC last week, whereas, DSK Shivajians is looking to maintain their hundred percent record after securing three wins in their three matches so far.

In the corresponding fixture on 22nd October, DSK Shivajians inflicted a thumping 10-0 victory at DSK Dream City after an electrifying performance. DSK’s Captain F. Malsawmtluanga netted a fine hat-trick, whereas, Laldawngkima, Adnan Syed, and C. Lalremruata scored twice with Harsh Bartwal also got on the scoresheet. So far, DSK Shivajians is currently leading the Group B table and are the favourites to qualify for the next round.

PIFA Colaba is at the bottom of the table with two points in five games and would have comprehensively defeated Steadfast FC – Mumbai Rush SC last week, but the lack of finishing cost them their first win of the campaign.

PIFA’s Captain Akash Jadhav and his namesake Akash C. Jadhav, both have been impressive for Nagesh Swamy’s side. The duo must step up against the mighty DSK to stand a chance of claiming their maiden victory in this season.

On the other side, Michael Rice’s side has a terrific team at his disposal. F. Malsawmtluanga, Laldawngkima, Umair Saiyyad, Clivert Dimers are some of the names which can create problems for PIFA Colaba.

Nagesh Swamy’ side must step up their game and close down DSK’s midfield in order to hope for a positive result.
