Iron Born Edge MSP 2–1 to Secure Second Win of the Season
The Mumbai Premier League clash between Mumbai Soccer Prodigies (MSP) and Iron Born turned into a hard-fought contest as Iron Born secured an important 2-1 victory.
Iron Born started the match strongly and took the lead in the 16th minute through Yash Nair, who produced a powerful strike that sailed above the MSP goalkeeper to give his side an early advantage.
MSP responded well and continued to push forward in search of the equaliser. Their efforts paid off in the 28th minute when Muneeb showcased excellent footwork before finishing calmly to bring MSP back into the game.
However, Iron Born regained the lead before the break. In the 37th minute, Subhan Shaikh reacted quickly after an effort struck the crossbar and fell kindly to him inside the box. He made no mistake with the rebound, finishing well to restore Iron Born’s advantage and make it 2-1 at half-time.
The second half saw MSP pushing hard for another equaliser as they tried to get back into the match. Despite their attacking efforts, Iron Born stayed compact and disciplined at the back, successfully defending their lead.
The final whistle confirmed a crucial 2-1 win for Iron Born, marking just their second victory of the season. The result takes them to six points, though they remain second from bottom in Group B. MSP, meanwhile, remain a couple of places above them but were handed their fifth defeat of the campaign.
