Union Bank of India defeated Kalina Rangers in the final to clinch the inaugural edition of Hashu Advani Centennial Cup 2025

The inaugural Hashu Advani Centennial Cup 2025, affiliated with the Mumbai Football Association (MFA) and organized by VES Academy (VESSA) Chembur, witnessed an exciting showcase of Mumbai’s top footballing talent. The tournament featured eight elite teams from Mumbai’s football leagues, competing for the prestigious title.

The competition followed a group-stage format, with teams divided into two groups. The top two teams from each group advanced to the semi-finals, where MYJ, Union Bank of India, Bank of India, and Kalina Rangers emerged as the best of the lot.

Final Showdown & Champions Crowned

In a thrilling final match, Union Bank of India dominated Kalina Rangers with a resounding 3-0 victory, etching their name in history as the first-ever winners of the Hashu Advani Centennial Cup. Kalina Rangers finished as runners-up, while MYJ and Bank of India shared third place honors.

  • Best Defender – Arjun Singh (Kalina Rangers) (Awarded by Balin Singh)
  • Top Scorer – Brendon Fernandes (Union Bank of India) (Awarded by Austin Coutinho)
  • Player of the Tournament – Tyson Patel (Union Bank of India) (Awarded by Niraj Singh)
  • Best Mentor – Ryan D’Souza (Union Bank of India)

A Grand Inauguration

The tournament was inaugurated by Mumbai cricketer Aditya Tare, who has represented Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL, and Mumbai in Ranji Trophy cricket. The event’s celebratory moments were further graced by Bedford Charles (Ex-RCF Footballer), Aubrey D’Souza (Ex-Mumbai Customs Footballer) and Vishal Mahadik (Ex Mumbai Ranji Trophy player, New South Wales, Australia and Sports Director of MS Dhoni Cricket Academy UAE.

The Hashu Advani Centennial Cup 2025 marks the beginning of a prestigious tournament that is set to elevate Mumbai’s footballing landscape.
