The Young ‘n’ Masters Challenge Cup Returns for Its Third Edition – Where Football Meets Family

by FC October 25, 2025

Mumbai’s most heartwarming football tournament is back! The Young ‘n’ Masters Challenge Cup, a one-of-a-kind Father-Son/Daughter 2v2 football tournament, returns for its third edition on 26th October 2025 at the Athlon Sports Turf Ground, Kalidas Sports Complex, Mulund.

Presented by Aaron Tours and organized by Cool Veterans Football Club in partnership with Tiger Sports Foundation and Ambernath United, the event promises a day filled with skill, laughter, and family spirit – as footballers young and old come together to celebrate their shared love for the beautiful game.

A Tournament Born from Family, Friendship, and Football

What began in 2023 as a small idea by Hemanth Moollya, pillar of Cool Veterans FC, has now grown into one of Mumbai’s most anticipated family sporting events. With valuable insights from Carlton D’Souza, Prasad Kuttan and Deepu Sir, the 2v2 format was refined to balance fun, competitiveness, and inclusivity.

Now in its third season, the tournament will host over 50 teams across five categories – U-12, U-14, U-16, U-18, and Above 18 – bringing together players and parents from across Mumbai and Pune.

“The whole idea was simple – to bring families closer through football,” said Hemanth. “It’s not just about goals or trophies; it’s about creating moments that parents and kids will remember for life.”

More Than a Tournament – A Celebration of Togetherness

The Young ‘n’ Masters Challenge Cup, powered by Aaron Tours, has never been just another football event. It’s an experience – where fathers, mothers, and children share the field, the excitement, and the emotions of playing side by side.

Over the years, families have spoken about how the event helped them bond beyond the sidelines, making football a true family affair.

What’s New in 2025

This year’s edition brings an exciting new highlight – the Mothers’ Goal Kick Contest, which has already seen 25+ moms register to show off their footballing flair. The inclusion has added even more energy and diversity to the event, making it a complete family festival.

The organizers have gone the extra mile this year – from professional YouTube live streaming for fans at home to custom jerseys, medical support, refreshments, selfie backdrops, and prizes for all participants.

Every team will receive participation medals, while winners, runners-up, and second runners-up will take home trophies, medals, caps, and mini kit-bags, along with surprise gifts.

The Venue

The Athlon Turf at Kalidas Sports Complex, Mulund, is one of Mumbai’s finest mini-stadiums – a colorful, vibrant venue perfectly suited for a family sporting extravaganza. With modern facilities, great accessibility, and a buzzing crowd atmosphere, it provides the perfect setting for a full day of football and fun.

As the excitement builds for October 26, one thing is certain – this isn’t just football.
