MYJGMSC triumph over PIFA to extend Group A lead

The Mighty Lions continued their impressive run as they secured a dominant 4-1 victory over PIFA in their latest Group A encounter yesterday.
A blend of tactical brilliance and clinical finishing ensured MYJGMSC’s position at the top of the table. The game began with MYJGMSC on the front foot, applying early pressure on the PIFA defense. The breakthrough came in the 16th minute from a well-executed corner routine. Praveen Kumavat’s precise delivery found an unmarked Keegan at the far post. Keegan expertly directed his header into the net from a tight angle, giving the Lions a 1-0 lead.
PIFA responded swiftly just three minutes later. From a free-kick situation, Ningzan Zingkai floated a perfectly weighted ball into the Lions’ box, which was met by PIFA skipper Sanu Thunder. His powerful header leveled the score at 1-1.
However, MYJGMSC regained their lead in the 36th minute. Skipper Tejas Raut delivered a pinpoint long pass to Sujal, who ran with pace and composure by charging into the box and finishing clinically to make it 2-1.
Second Half Dominance
The Lions maintained their momentum in the second half and extended their lead in the 78th minute. Allan’s tenacity in midfield saw him win possession and deliver a delightful lob over the PIFA defense. Jay made a clever run to the byline and cut back the ball for Rajendra, who tapped it in with ease to put MYJGMSC 3-1 ahead.
PIFA’s attempts to mount a comeback were thwarted by a disciplined Lions defense. To cap off the victory, Keegan Pereira converted a penalty in injury time, sealing the win with a 4-1 scoreline. With this emphatic victory, MYJGMSC solidifies their position at the top of Group A.
