Mumbai Super League: MSP, Mumbai Ultras book final round slot

Nihal Colaco’s injury time brace helped MSP edge past Charkop while in other game, Ultras breezed past ROQs-DFA courtesy strike from Joyson, Shreyas and co.
In group A, with one playoff spot still open for taking, MSP took on Charkop FC with the former needing just a draw to qualify. The edgy game went back and forth as Charkop went all in search of goals. however MSP defence stood strong to keep the score to 0-0.
In the final moments, as Charkop put men forward in attack they opened themselves defensively and MSP did not flatter in taking advantage of the same. Nihal Colaco struck in the 2nd minute of injury time to put MSP ahead before putting the game to bed with his second strike of the game, three minutes later.
With this result, Mumbai Soccer Prodigies along with Waves FC advance to the final round of the Competition.

Meanwhile in other game, Mumbai Ultras romped with a comfortable 6-0 win over ROQs-DFA to top Group B table. After a cagey opening where ROQs defended well, Joyson’s 41st minute strike opened the floodgates. Couple of Minutes later, Raj doubled the lead as Ultras went into the break with 2-0 lead.
In the second half, Ultras tightened their hold on the game quickly with Joyson making it 3-0 in the 51st minute. Shreyas Zele then got into the act with double strike in the space of three minutes before Rehan Burud added one more to the tally.
The match eventually ended 6-0 as Ultras ended the playoff round topping the Group B table. The final round of Mumbai Super League will see four teams battle it out in a round robin format. Waves FC, Mumbai Soccer Prodigies, Mumbai Ultras and Brothers SA have confirmed their place in the final round with matches beginning Feb 7 onwards.
