India Khelo Football Conducts Nationwide Scouting Workshops in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, and Bangalore, Strengthening the Pathways for Indian Talent
India Khelo Football (IKF), one of India’s most impactful grassroots-to-professional football initiatives, successfully concluded a series of Certified Scouting Workshops across four major cities — Pune (26–28 September 2025), Bangalore (27–28 September 2025), Mumbai (30 September – 2 October 2025) and Delhi (4–5 October 2025).
These workshops mark another significant step in IKF’s mission to democratise access to football opportunities and build an ecosystem where talent meets structure, merit meets opportunity, and scouting becomes transparent and data-driven.
Empowering Scouts, Enabling Players
The workshops were led by a team of internationally acclaimed coaches and scout educators. Massimo Valenziano conducted the Pune sessions, while Chris McGarth and Jimmy Hayes spearheaded the workshops in Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore.

Each coach brought a wealth of global academy experience, guiding participants through intensive modules on talent identification, performance analysis, technical evaluation frameworks, and ethical scouting standards.
The sessions blended classroom instruction with on-ground player assessments, ensuring that participants gained both theoretical knowledge and real-world application. Local coaches, aspiring scouts, and football administrators were trained in IKF’s standardised scouting methodology, designed to ensure that every young player in India is evaluated through consistent, evidence-based benchmarks rather than informal or biased networks.
A Phygital Model That Builds Pathways
IKF’s model is uniquely phygital — combining on-ground open trials with digital player databases. Every athlete identified through IKF’s ecosystem receives a digital player profile, featuring verified data, performance metrics, and scouting evaluations accessible to both domestic and international partners.
This model ensures that a player from a small town has the same visibility as one from an elite academy. By turning scouting into a structured and measurable process, IKF continues to bridge the gap between grassroots football and professional careers — ensuring that merit, not connections, determines opportunity.

Creating Real Opportunities for Players
Through a growing network of partnerships, IKF directly connects Indian players to professional clubs and global academies. Its Indian partners include Bengaluru FC, Mumbai City FC, FC Goa, Sreenidhi Deccan, and Rajasthan United FC — a network that ensures domestic players gain exposure to top-tier football environments.
On the international front, IKF collaborates with Iconic Football Academy (Spain), B1 Soccer Academy (Germany), Black Rock FC (US), FCV Football academy (UK), Sportsmate 360 (Poland), and the West Ham Foundation (UK). These partnerships offer trial opportunities, scholarships, and training exposure in structured professional setups, providing talented Indian players with credible global pathways.
IKF’s credibility within the Indian football ecosystem continues to grow, underlined by its official partnership with Bengaluru FC, through which IKF scouts standout players and collaborates on player development initiatives and international exposure tours.

Workshops That Build the Future of Indian Scouting
The recently concluded workshops in Pune, Bangalore, Mumbai, and Delhi weren’t just about training scouts — they were about strengthening the foundation of Indian football scouting and player identification.
Participants learned how to evaluate players across technical skill, tactical intelligence, game sense, athleticism, and mindset, while also understanding how to guide young players and their families about structured development pathways.
The hands-on sessions, led by Valenziano, McGarth, and Hayes, received tremendous response from attendees for their depth, interactive learning, and relevance to Indian conditions. By the end of these sessions, numerous coaches and scouts had earned official IKF certification — each now an ambassador for professional scouting standards in their local communities.

Beyond Scouting: A Holistic Vision
IKF’s mission extends well beyond identifying talent. Through its Career 360 initiative, the organisation offers career guidance and clarity for athletes and families, helping them make informed decisions about their futures — whether inside or outside professional football.
IKF also actively promotes girls’ participation and ensures that under-resourced communities are included in every phase of its programme. As a not-for-profit platform, IKF measures success not just in trials or certifications, but in lives impacted, scouts trained, and opportunities created.
Building India’s Football Future — One Workshop at a Time
In just a few years, India Khelo Football has redefined how football talent is discovered, nurtured, and connected across India. Each workshop represents another step towards a sustainable, merit-driven football ecosystem — one that recognises skill, rewards effort, and provides every aspiring player with a genuine, visible pathway to success.
By partnering with domestic clubs, global academies, and community stakeholders, IKF is transforming the dream of equal opportunity in Indian football into an everyday reality.
