Fearless Dempo SC Hold Mohun Bagan to a Goalless Draw in the Super Cup
Dempo SC, representing the I-League, produced a brave and inspiring performance to hold Indian Super League powerhouse Mohun Bagan Super Giants to a 0-0 draw in their AIFF Super Cup 2025-26 clash. Despite facing one of the country’s most formidable sides, the Goan outfit showed heart, discipline, and confidence throughout the match.
From the very first whistle, Dempo made it clear they were not intimidated by the big stage. Instead of sitting deep, they pressed with intent, moved the ball purposefully, and matched Mohun Bagan in intensity. The I-League side’s defence stayed organised, while their midfield worked tirelessly to disrupt Bagan’s rhythm and launch counterattacks whenever possible.
Mohun Bagan, with their star-studded lineup, created a few half-chances but were frustrated by Dempo’s resilience at the back. The Goan side’s goalkeeper and backline stood tall under pressure, clearing crosses and blocking every attempt that came their way.
