A late half flurry of goals sees Om Saidham FC secure a comprehensive come from behind win against Young Guns FA(Rhema) to book their place in the Mumbai Super League Playoff spot

In a high-stakes match in the Mumbai Super League, Om Saidham FC clashed with Young Guns FA (Rhema) in a must-win encounter to secure a spot in the playoffs. The intensity was palpable from the kickoff as Om Saidham dominated possession.

The turning point arrived in the 20th minute when Shubham Kale’s shot, deflected by an Om Saidham player, left the keeper bewildered, allowing Young Guns FA to take an early lead.

Despite the setback, Om Saidham showed resilience, and their efforts paid off just before halftime. A corner kick proved crucial for Om Saidham as Pratham Bhatkar delivered a precise ball into the box. Aylmer Gonsalves rose above the defense, heading the ball into the net and leveling the score at 1-1.

As the second half unfolded, both teams sought the elusive lead goal. Young Guns FA’s Akshay showcased his skills, breaking the deadlock with a spectacular goal, putting his team ahead 2-1.

Om Saidham, determined to equalize, launched desperate attacks. Roger Perreira had a golden opportunity in the box, but Pratik Rane’s save denied him a goal. Aylmer Gonsalves, however, became the hero for Om Saidham with a brilliant through ball assist to Selva, who set up Tanishq for the equalizer.

The momentum swung in Om Saidham’s favor as captain Pratham Bhatkar delivered a left-footed masterpiece from the right wing, leaving fans in awe and securing the lead. Aylmer Gonsalves sealed the victory with a brace, courtesy of another assist from Pratham.

In the dying moments, Aylmer once again played a pivotal role, providing an assist for Tanishq to complete his brace. Om Saidham FC triumphed in added time, securing their playoff berth in spectacular fashion.
