MYJ-GMSC trump Iron Born 4-0 to go closer to title, Hope United beat Kalina Ranger

MYJGMSC are on the brink of championship glory following a commanding 4-0 win over Iron Born in the Mumbai Premier League meanwhile in other game, Hope United defeated Kalina Rangers 3-0
A stellar display saw them secure a resounding victory, highlighted by a second half brace from super sub Dipu Neupane, complemented by goals from Dhurwesh and Andre, further solidifying their position at the top of the table.
The first half was completely dominated by MYJGMSC, as they controlled possession and launched numerous attacks into Iron Born’s territory. Early on, in the 6th minute, Jay Bhavani’s precise pass on the left flank set up a promising opportunity for MYJGMSC. Pravin delivered a grounded cross to striker Tejas, but Iron Born’s goalkeeper made a crucial save to deny them the opening goal. Despite MYJGMSC’s relentless pressure, Iron Born attempted to counter, only to be met by the experienced defense led by captain Kamlesh.
MYJGMSC’s set-piece strategies also kept Iron Born’s defense on high alert, although they managed to clear every threatening ball, preventing MYJGMSC from converting their chances. Throughout the first half, MYJGMSC continued to press forward aggressively. In the 37th minute, skipper Kamlesh took a chance with a powerful shot from outside the box, but it narrowly sailed over the crossbar, missing the target. Following Kamlesh’s attempt, Jay Bhavnani unleashed a thunderous strike minutes later, only to be denied by a brilliant save from the Iron Born goalkeeper.
However, just moments before the halftime whistle, MYJGMSC finally found their breakthrough. A well-delivered sailing cross from a set-piece by experienced Keegan Peirera found the head of Dhurwesh, who made a decisive connection. Despite Iron Born Keeper’s efforts to keep the ball out, Dhurwesh’s header found the back of the net after deflecting off the woodwork, breaking the deadlock and giving MYJGMSC the lead just before halftime.
Jay Bhavnani and Dhurwesh controlled the midfield for MYJGMSC, leading their team to a well-deserved 1-0 lead at halftime. Iron Born FC faced a daunting task in the second half to overturn the deficit.
In the second half, Iron Born FC came out strong, applying pressure on MYJ’s defense from the start. They nearly equalized with a swift counterattack orchestrated by Khatib, who dribbled past 2-3 players before passing to Deep. Deep’s powerful shot from 30 yards was inches away from finding the net but was saved by Manoj with a fingertip save.

In the 71st minute, Super sub Dipu Neupane made an impact, taking charge of the attack. After Skipper Kamlesh won the ball, a quick counterattack ensued. Shamer sprinted towards the goal on the right flank before squaring the ball to Dipu inside the box. Dipu capitalized on the opportunity, lashing the ball into the net from 6 yards out.
Not content with just one goal, Dipu struck again in the 73rd minute to secure a well-deserved brace. Following a quick exchange between Manuel and Jay, Jay provided a precise pass to Dipu, who swiftly slotted the ball into the bottom left corner with a powerful strike.
Andre’s recent standout performances in the ongoing RFDL Campaign caught the attention of the senior team selectors, earning him a call-up to the senior squad. Making his debut appearance off the bench, Andre showcased his finesse and skill. In a pivotal moment during stoppage time, Skipper Kamlesh provided a subtle assist to Andre, who expertly controlled the ball towards the goal. With precision and technique, Andre released a curling shot towards the right top corner from outside the box, marking his debut and sealing the victory in style.
With a convincing 4-0 victory, MYJGMSC reaffirmed their dominance in the MFA Premier League and moved one step closer to clinching the championship title. Sitting comfortably at the top of the table with 11 wins and 1 draw, they are poised for a thrilling climax to the season. The upcoming matches against powerhouse MH Oranje FC and Millat FC will be crucial in determining their fate in the league.
Hope United beat Kalina Rangers 3-0

Star striker Sunny Thakur struck a brilliant brace with goals coming on either side of the break to put Hope in 2-0 lead. Later in the game, Selvam Pannir stuck an injury time goal after a well made run on the wings from Asad to setup the substitute, as he guided the ball into the net to complete the 3-0 rout.
