Mumbai Strikers second-Half brilliance guides them to 4-1 win

In a thrilling match at Bandra’s Neville Dsouza ground on Friday, Mumbai Strikers faced off against United Villagers WA in the Mumbai Super League encounter.

The game unfolded with a decent start from both teams as the kick-off was initiated by United Villagers WA.

The initial excitement escalated when United Villagers WA took the lead early on, setting the tone for a competitive match. However, Strikers responded with a goal of their own, courtesy of Manav Dukhande’s finish leveling the score at 1-1. The first half saw both teams striving for the lead, but it concluded with an even scoreline.

The second half witnessed a remarkable turn of events as the Strikers took control. Early into the half, Ravish Dsouza struck the ball into the post, giving the Strikers a lead. The momentum continued for the Strikers, with Ankush delivering a beautiful assist that led to a perfect header by Harsh Vaghela, securing the third goal.

The Strikers’ dominance persisted in the second half as they thwarted United Villagers’ attempts. Vikram Singh’s precise header into the post further solidified the Strikers’ lead, bringing the score to 4-1.

With this impressive performance, the Mumbai Strikers surged ahead in Group C, earning three crucial points from the victory. The match showcased a stark contrast between the two halves, with both teams playing decently in the first half, but the Strikers clearly dominating in the second.

Overall in the game, Mumbai Strikers, exhibited a complete control of the game after the initial hiccups, securing a convincing win and moving couple of places up in the Mumbai Super League Group C table.
