Two injury time goals sees Mumbai City FC edge past DK Flag Foundation in the Mumbai Premier League courtesy of two decisive strikes at 90+5′ and 90+6′ from Ahaan Sharma and Kaif Ansari respectively.

The game began with high pressing from DK, who nearly capitalized early. DK striker Mohit pounced on error from Mumbai City CB Kaif Ansari and drove into the box, but his tight-angled shot went off target. Moments later, DK’s Gaurav Adhikar unleashed a deflected volley, only for Mumbai City’s Harsh Kadam to produce a stunning double save to keep the score level.

Mumbai City had their own chance through a first-half set-piece. Kaif Ansari attempted a spectacular volley from inside the penalty area, but DK keeper Ishant denied him with a sharp save.

As the half progressed, DK eased off their pressing, choosing to defend deep, while Mumbai City struggled to break down their compact setup, leaving the first half goalless.

In the second half, both teams had moments to take the lead. DK’s Nikhil missed a golden opportunity, sending a long-range effort wide after a defensive lapse from Mumbai City.

At the other end, Mumbai City’s Ahaan Sharma had a well-executed volley saved brilliantly by Ishant following a clever set-piece delivery.

Looking for goals, Mumbai City head Coach Mohan Das made a substitution that nearly changed the game. Winger Kunal Raghav and striker Ahaan Sharma combined for a promising chance when Kunal’s sharp dribble and cross found Ahaan, whose powerful shot rattled the woodwork.

The breakthrough finally came in stoppage time. In the fifth minute of added time, Mumbai City were awarded a penalty after a chaotic scramble in DK’s box. Ahaan Sharma stepped up and calmly slotted the ball into the bottom left corner, putting City ahead.

With DK chasing an equalizer, Mumbai City capitalized on their momentum just a minutes later. A precise cross-field ball from Arsh Bhagwan found Kaif Ansari at the far post, where he rose high to head the ball into the net, securing a dramatic 2-0 victory.

Full-Time Score: Mumbai City FC (Ahaan Sharma 90+5′, Kaif Ansari 90+6′) 2 – 0 DK Flag Foundation
