MH Oranje FC storm into Semi-Finals with 5-0 rout over BoB in Harwood Champions League

MH Oranje FC delivered a commanding performance with a 5-0 victory over BoB in their second match of the Harwood Champions League, becoming the first team to secure a spot in the tournament’s semi-finals.

Goals from Duane D’Souza, G. Kamei, M. Khatib, and Yogesh Kadam were the highlights of a dominant display.

The scoring began just 4 minutes into the match when Bank of Baroda defender Anas made a routine back pass to goalkeeper Manav. Inexplicably hesitating, Manav’s indecision allowed Duane D’Souza to capitalize on the error, slotting the ball into the net to give Oranje an early lead.

Oranje kept their momentum, with their midfield orchestrating the game seamlessly. A perfectly weighted chip from Nitesh Monde over the defense found Kamei on the edge of the box, who calmly lifted the ball over the keeper into an empty net, extending the lead. To further emphasize his dominance, Duane D’Souza unleashed a spectacular long-range strike from outside the box that rocketed into the top corner, leaving the Bank of Baroda keeper with no chance—an absolute stunner that had the bench of Oranje on their feet.

MH Oranje continued their domination in the second half, as their in-form winger Mohd. Khatib added to the tally with a well-executed goal. Kamei, rising above his marker to intercept a clearance from Kartik Rao, carried the ball into the box. Holding his position for a split second, Kamei set up Khatib, who cleverly feinted his first touch, skipped past his marker, and slotted home his second goal of the tournament.

The game was effectively sealed when substitute Yogesh Kadam scored a sensational fifth goal, underscoring MH Oranje’s dominance. Receiving a switch of play from Saurabh Sharma, Kadam took his time, sizing up the situation before curling a sublime shot into the top corner from distance, cementing the win for Oranje.

Recent Exciting Matches in Harwood Champions League:

As MH Oranje continues their impressive run in the Harwood Champions League, the last few days have also seen several exciting encounters unfold across the tournament.

In Group B, Kalina Rangers and Young Champs secured commendable results, setting the stage for a thrilling final matchday. Rangers faced a resilient Customs side but finally broke the deadlock in the last 10 minutes. Shoaib calmly slotted the first goal, with Dawson adding a second shortly after. Despite a late goal from Customs’ Praneel, Shoaib sealed the win with a brace, finishing the match 3-1 in Rangers’ favor.

Meanwhile, Young Champs, featuring the new U19 batch of RFYC, engaged in a high-octane 8-goal thriller against ICL. K. Konthoujam, Ansh Tembulkar, and Lajkumar found the back of the net in the first half. Although ICL’s Sandeep scored a brace and Zeeshan added another, Young Champs’ super-sub Sana netted twice late on, securing an exhilarating 5-3 victory.

In Group A, Millat’s woes continued as they aimed to bounce back after their opening loss to Oranje. Despite Alok Chauhan giving Millat an early lead, Hope FC responded in style with a second-half comeback. Goals from Sunny Thakur, Shivam Yadav, and Arafat Ansari ensured a 3-1 victory for Hope. This result, combined with Bank of Baroda’s loss today, leaves two teams vying for the remaining semi-final spot.
