MFA Super League: Tarun Sporting, India on Track FC play out 0-0 draw

Tarun Sporting and India on Track with a playoff spot on the line played out a goalless draw in a high octane MFA Super League encounter.

Both Tarun Sporting and India on Track with a playoff spot on the line played out a goalless draw in a high octane MFA Super League encounter.

Attack by both the sides from start as they try to create opportunities for their teams just to fall short

The action unfolded swiftly, with Roger Sam from Tarun Sporting orchestrating a precise pass from the left wing to SK Farid, the latter’s header going wide.

SK Farid makes another quick attempt in next minute but it’s thwarted by a vigilant IOT defence. The excitement continued as IOT’s Saurabh Nikam executed a remarkable attempt from the left wing, met with an impressive save by Tarun’s goalkeeper Pritam Jadhav, setting the tone for an intense battle on the field.

The stakes rose as Tarun’s goalkeeper made a series of crucial saves, denying IOT’s consecutive goal attempts.

Tarun FC then earned a corner kick, expertly taken by Kaustubh Panchal. The ball found its way to Yatin, whose powerful shot seemed destined for the net, only to be thwarted by a breathtaking save from the IOT goalkeeper Vansh Shrivastava.

At the other end, IOT’s Sanus KR attempts a shot from inside the box but Tarun’s Pritam does well to pull off a reactionary save. Laitonjam showcased exceptional skills, maneuvering through the box and delivering a cross to Shubham Dalvi, whose subsequent shot sailed over the goalpost, keeping the first half 0-0.

The commencement of the second half brought another wave of excitement as Saurabh Nikam found himself inside the box but failed to convert the chance, sending the ball off-target. This was followed by another attempt from Nikam after some good movement on the left by Laitonjam and Sabastine Almeida only to be thwarted by Tarun Sporting defence.

Tarun, facing a resilient IOT defence, managed to secure a crucial corner. Jayesh Sutar collected the pass, attempting a goal only to be denied by the brilliance of the IOT goalkeeper Vansh.

IOT’s Anurag PC, positioned on the left wing, created an opportunity within the box but disappointingly sent the ball over the bar.

Tensions rose as Kaustubh Panchal from Tarun received a red card for pushing a IOT player, leaving Tarun with a numerical disadvantage.

Saurabh Nikam then received a pass on the left wing, attempting a header skillfully saved by Tarun’s goalkeeper. This was followed by Anurag PC, overcoming defensive hurdles, unleashed a shot from inside the box, met with another spectacular save by the Tarun goalkeeper, concluding the second half in an electrifying manner.

The match concluded as a draw [0-0] with India on Track FC just a foot outside the Layoff qualification with a draw in the final game would enough to secure it. At the other end, Tarun Sporting will be at mercy of the Islanders colts dropping few points to have a chance at the playoff.
