Maharashtra Shores Through To Beach Soccer Finals In Diu Beach Games 2024
Team Maharashtra beat Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu in Beach Soccer Semifinals at the Diu Beach Games 2024, earning themselves a well-deserved spot in the finals slated for January 11th, 2024.
Making their maiden appearance in the competition, Team Maharashtra were placed in Group B facing some tough adversaries in Lakshadweep, Odisha, and Goa.
Group Stage Dominance:
The opening clash against Lakshadweep saw a valiant effort from Maharashtra boys, despite a 5-2 defeat. Midfielder Parth Paresh Chavan was a big positive showcasing brilliance with both goals.
Undeterred, Maharashtra bounced back in their second match against Odisha, securing a resounding 7-3 victory. Captain Om Sanjay Arane, Parth Paresh Chavan, and Parag orchestrated the attack, each contributing two goals, while forward Arman Fakir added one.
The third group-stage encounter against Goa sealed their dominance. Maharashtra outclassed their opponents with a 9-4 scoreline, and Captain Om Sanjay Arane took center stage with an outstanding five-goal performance.

Advancing to the semi-finals, Maharashtra faced Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. The team delivered another stellar performance, securing a commanding 6-0 victory. Forward Manas Tamore and Defender Harsh Haresh Kapadia each netted three goals, steering their team to the finals.
