The match kicked off with Mumbai Strikers displaying early attacking prowess, carving out promising chances. Nirbhay Patpatia’s precision on the right flank set up Ankush Singh, whose left-footed attempt narrowly missed the target.

Meanwhile, Young Guns’ Arnav Krishnamoorthy electrified the left wing but faced a spectacular save from vigilant Strikers goalkeeper Muhammed Shaheer. Shaheer continued to command his defense effectively, orchestrating the backline with strategic guidance.

Mumbai Strikers, determined to break the deadlock, saw Ananth Kumar’s low shot denied by Young Guns’ keeper Vatsal. Kishan Dubey also tried his luck with a shot from outside the box, drifting just left of the mark. The first half concluded with Young Guns launching another near miss, as Naren Thakur’s cross from the right met Dharmendra Tripathi’s touch, sailing over the crossbar.

The second half unfolded with Young Guns initiating swift attacks, threatening with Naren’s low cross, skillfully intercepted by Amarjit in a crucial defensive move. Mumbai Strikers responded with promising opportunities, with Ravish Dsouza’s delivery headed over by Ananth Kumar. Young Guns persisted, testing Shaheer with a headed attempt from Tarun.
