Shravan Shetty’s injury-time goal helps AUA FC clinch victory and Final Round spot

Ambernath United Atlanta FC has booked their place in the final round of the Hero 2nd Division after a sensational come-from-behind win over ARA FC.

Ambernath United Atlanta FC displayed an incredible level of determination and skill in their must-win game away from home against a formidable opponent, ARA FC, who had not lost a match in the group fixtures.

Atlanta started the game on backfoot as ARA FC took the lead in the 13th minute through Hijam Singh. However, the visitors bounced back quickly, with their skipper Himanshu Patil scoring the equalizer in the 21st minute. Despite the continuous back and forth, the first half ended with both teams level at 1-1.

In the second half, both teams tried hard to score the winning goal. AUA FC dominated the proceedings, but ARA FC’s defense stood tall, thwarting all their attacks. The match looked like it was heading towards a draw until the 92nd minute when Shravan Shetty scored the winner for AUA FC. It was a crucial goal that helped the team secure a spot in the final round of the competition.

The victory saw AUA FC climb to the top of the group table with 17 points in 8 games, tied on points with ARA FC. However, AUA FC had a better head-to-head record against Ara FC(1 win, 1 draw), which helped them secure the top spot and qualify for the final round of the Hero 2nd Division.

Overall, it was an impressive performance by AUA FC, who showed great determination and grit to secure the win they needed. The team will now look to carry their good form into the final round of the competition and continue their quest for promotion to the Hero I-League
