Mumbai’s FC Cecilians set to represent West in Red Bull Four 2 Score National Finals

FC Cecilians, a young football team from Mumbai, has emerged as champions in the Red Bull Four 2 Score West Qualifiers held in the city.

The tournament, which is an action-packed 4vs4 football event, challenges players to showcase their best small-field skills with 10-minute rounds, no breaks, and no goalkeepers. In a unique twist, goals scored in the first and last minute count for double points.

The Mumbai Qualifiers witnessed over 150 teams participating, including teams from Pune, Ahmedabad, Goa, and Indore. FC Cecilians managed to beat all the other teams to qualify for the National Finals, which are scheduled to take place on 13th May in Kerala. The team will represent the West in the finals, which will see the winners of the other regional qualifiers compete for the title of Red Bull Four 2 Score National Champions.

Gordon Fernandes, the owner of FC Cecilians, expressed his pride in the team’s performance, saying, “This was long due, and I am proud of the boys as they have pulled off this huge win in spite of how young they are.” FC Cecilians’ victory in the West Qualifiers has earned them the chance to compete against the best teams from across India in the National Finals.

The Red Bull Four 2 Score tournament is known for its high-octane action, with teams showcasing their skills in a fast-paced, exciting environment. This year’s World Final will be held at RB Leipzig in Germany, adding to the excitement of the tournament. With FC Cecilians’ impressive performance in the West Qualifiers, all eyes will be on them as they prepare to take on the best teams from around the country in the National Finals. The location of the finals is yet to be confirmed.

Football fans and enthusiasts can watch FC Cecilians and the other teams compete in the National Finals on 13th May. The tournament promises to be an exhilarating spectacle, with players showcasing their skills in the hopes of winning the coveted title of Red Bull Four 2 Score National Champions
