Millat FC breeze past Sellebrity FC in Mumbai Premier League

Sellebrity FC faced a formidable challenge against league leaders Millat FC in an action-packed Mumbai Premier League encounter.
The underdogs began the game with determination, showcasing their attacking prowess and quickly found success when in the 6th minute, Rohan Gautam’s strike from outside the box nestled into the top left corner of the goal.
Millat looked to comeback immediately but were held off by some resolute Sellebrity defence. However after the impressive start, an error of judgement from Sellebrity defence forced an error inside the box giving Millat FC a penalty. Keegan Pinto made no mistake in converting the spotkick to put the game back on level terms.
Moments later, Millat went close to scoring again when Duane Dsouza’s shot from inside the box was on target, but an alert Sellebrity Keeper Balaram Das pulled off a good save to deny Millat the goal.
Sunny Koli then put Millat in lead with a good left footed strike towards goalkeepers second post.
Elvis Rodrigues then tried his luck with a shot on goal but was denied by Balaram Das. As the game progressed another Millat attack saw Das come off his line to cut off the ball into the box, but clearances only reached as far as Sumesh Nair, who hit his shot over the defenders with keeper off his line to find the net and make it 3-1
Second half started with Millat extending their lead quickly, Mohammed Zaid latched on to a pass inside the Sellebrity box, took a touch before firing a shot past the keeper’s near post gap to make it 4-0
At the other end, Sellebrity did try to get forward in attack but struggled to find inroads within their opponents defence. Meanwhile the Sellebrity defence were on constant pressure from Millat attack.
Substitute Kamran almost got on a scoresheet for Millat immediately after coming into the game but his shot on target while beating the keeper Das was cleared away on the goalline by an alert Aaron Trinidad.
Kamran eventually did find the goal in the dying minutes of the game after a Ball behind the defense was placed in the second angle to complete a 5-1 win for Millat FC
