KSA continues dominance, Silver Innings stuns with comeback win

Karnatak Sporting Association dominates Kenkre FC with a 5-2 victory, securing their top spot in the league. Meanwhile, Silver Innings FC staged a stunning comeback to defeat Bombay Muslims 2-3

The match between Karnatak Sporting Association (KSA) and Kenkre FC was an exciting one to watch, with both teams showing their mettle on the field. The first half of the game was cagey, with both teams trying to assert their dominance. However, it was KSA that started to take control of the game as the first half progressed.

In the 40th minute, Pratham Ganthur opened the scoring for KSA with a well-placed shot that beat the Kenkre goalkeeper. Just before half-time, Sanchit Singh doubled KSA’s lead, putting them in a comfortable position heading into the break.

The second half started with a brilliant start by KSA, as Sanchit completed his brace just four minutes into the second half. This was quickly followed by another goal from Pragnesh Solanki, who took advantage of a counter-attacking move to tap in KSA’s fourth goal.

Kenkre FC wasn’t about to give up just yet, and Siddharth Colaco scored in the 69th minute with a stunning shot from outside the box that nestled into the top right corner. The fightback continued, and just a few minutes later Silvester was tripped inside the box, resulting in a penalty for Kenkre. Siddharth stepped up to take the penalty and successfully converted, making it 4-2.

KSA’s dominance continued, and they sealed the victory with a fifth goal from substitute Sahil Sheikh in the first minute of injury time. With this win, KSA remains at the top of the league with 31 points from 11 games and a four-point lead over second-placed Atlanta FC.

In the second game of the day, Silver Innings FC made an electrifying comeback to claim three points against Bombay Muslims. The game started with a strong performance from Bombay Muslims, who took the lead in the 19th minute with a goal from Sohel Khan. The lead was doubled just before half-time by Vishal Magre.

However, the game took a turn in the 55th minute when Bombay Muslims were reduced to 10 men after MD Hossain Ansari received his second yellow card and was sent off. This paved the way for Silver Innings to stage a comeback, with Utsav Pradhan scoring his first goal in the 55th minute. The equalizer came in the 76th minute through substitute Abbubaker Khan, making it 2-2.

With just a few minutes left on the clock, Utsav completed his brace with a well-struck winning goal in the 87th minute. The final scoreline of 2-3 was a hard-fought victory for Silver Innings, who put in a fantastic performance to secure three points against a strong Bombay Muslims side
