Hemang, Laksh on mark as Young Guns (Rhema) extend group A lead in Mumbai Super League

Hemang Jadhav’s Brace and Laksh Lalchandani’s late clincher propel Young Guns (Rhema) to a 3-0 win over ICL in Mumbai Super League Group A encounter
The win solidified their position at the top of the league table, extending their lead by 4 points.
Young Guns (Rhema) entered the game in stellar form, boasting an impressive 7-game unbeaten streak. On the contrary, ICL, grappling with a dip in form and two big recent setbacks, aimed to thwart the league leaders.
First Half Brilliance:
The early stages witnessed Young Guns dictating play, testing the resilience of ICL’s defense. Despite goalkeeper Danzil Serrao’s commendable efforts to deny scoring opportunities, the breakthrough came in the 42nd minute. Hemang Jadhav, positioned expertly on the left wing, delivered a sublime curling ball into the box, finding the far post and putting Young Guns ahead.
Half-Time Score: Young Guns (Rhema) 1 – 0 ICL
Second Half Surge:
The second half saw Young Guns maintain their attacking vigor, eager to put the game to bed. In the 51st minute, Hemang Jadhav secured his brace, rising to meet a precise cross from the right and heading it past the keeper, doubling the lead.
Despite ICL’s goalkeeper making key saves and thwarting subsequent attempts, Young Guns kept the pressure on. The woodwork denied them once, and a diving save from Danzil prevented a third goal momentarily.
Laksh’s Late Clincher:
In the dying minutes, Young Guns sealed the win definitively. Hemang Jadhav, once again instrumental, embarked on a dazzling run down the left, delivering a low ball into the box for Laksh Lalchandani. Despite defensive pressure, Laksh adeptly turned, evading his marker, and unleashed a shot past the keeper to make it 3-0.
Full-Time Score: ICL 0 – 3 Young Guns (Rhema)
With this commanding victory, Young Guns extended their lead at the summit of the league table to 4 points, amassing 22 points from 8 games.
