Goal-Feast: Maharashtra’s Women’s Team Starts Nationals with a Bang!
Maharashtra’s women’s football team made a resounding statement as they kicked off their journey in the 28th Senior Women’s National Football Championship with a commanding 25-0 victory over Andaman & Nicobar.
The sheer dominance displayed by the Maharashtra team showcased their prowess and deep-seated talent. Priya Rathod, Vaishnavi Barate, and Sharvari Donkar led the charge with stellar performances, while the entire squad contributed to the goal-scoring extravaganza. A total of 10 players including 3 substitutes scored in the game with four players scoring a hattrick or more.
The second half performance from substitutes Aishwarya Jagtap, Samrudhi Katkole showcased how relentless the Maharashtra side was with both scoring hattricks of their own as Maharashtra added 14 goals in the half to add to the 11 scored in 1st half.
