WIFA Women’s Football League: First Win Of The Campaign For Pacangan & India Rush

Pacangan FC and India Rush both registered their first victories of the campaign in the sixth round of the WIFA Women’s Football League (IWL Qualifiers).

After a loss in the previous match against Amma FC, Pacangan FC entered the pitch in search of their first win of the campaign, while Next Sports Academy came into the game after a draw against Snigmay FC in their last encounter.

Pacangan went all-out attack since the first minute & scored a goal in just the 6th minute of the game via Sharvari Donkor. The midfielder scored again in the 10th minute to double Pacangan’s lead. After 2 minutes to Sharvari’s brace, Kumari Shikalgar scored and made it 3-0 in favor of Pacangan. In the 32nd minute, Sharvari completed her hat-trick and half-time Pacangan had a healthy 4-0 lead.

Pacangan continue their attacking dominance and at the hour-mark, Arya More scored & made the scoreline 5-0. In the 68th minute, Kumari Shikalgar completed her brace & gave Pacangan a lead of 6-0. 10 minutes before the 90′, Arya More scored again to make it 7-0. In the 89th minute, captain Ambika Dange scored the 8th goal for Pacangan. Shivani Dhanawade scored the 9th goal in the 90+2nd minute & Hritika Bandsode made it 10-0 in the 90+4th minute of the game. The referee blew the final whistle and Pacangan earned their first victory of the campaign with a massive win against Next Sports Academy.

In the second match, India Rush faced Snigamy FC.

India Rush entered the pitch in search of their first win of the campaign & broke the deadlock in the 30th minute of the game via a goal from Ash Mearl D’Silva. Jigmet Chuzen doubled India Rush’s lead in the 37th minute. By halftime, India Rush had taken a 2-0 lead over Snigmay FC.

In the 47th minute, Jigmet scored her brace & gave India Rush a 3-0 lead. Trevina Alexandria came off the bench and scored twice in the 56th and 59th minutes of the game as India Rush took a massive 5-0 lead. Captain Rachael Dacosta scored the 6th goal for India Rush in the 86th minute. The referee blew the whistle for the last time and India Rush registered their first win of the campaign.
