Sasmita Behera, Karen Pais star in 16-0 win for PIFA SC; Kenkre confirmed top 4 berth

Sasmita Behera, Karen Pais and Defender Payal hit top form in front goals as PIFA hammer 16-0 win over Lawless United; Kenkre beat FSI to confirm their top 4 berth
PIFA confirmed their pole position with a mammoth 16-0 win over a hapless Lawless United to finish. Determined to score in bulks to stop Mumbai Knights from having the pole position, PIFA came out with all guns blazing. Skipper Karen Pais scored four goals while Defender Payal scored a hat-trick too. Star striker Sasmita Behera slammed in 5 goals including a second-half hat-trick scored in the space of five minutes. She ends the league stage with 12 goals to her name topping the scoring charts.
A forgettable outing for Lawless United who finished their campaign without a single point to their name. They managed to score just once while conceding 50 in the competition
FT: Lawless United 0 – 16 PIFA SC (Mamta Kumari 2′, Sasmita Behera 6′, 28′, 72′, 74′, 76, Karen Pais 12′, 43′, 49′, 83′, Payal 37′, 59′, 61‘, Dolly Kumari 40′, Anita Rawat 47′, 89′)
Earlier in the day, Kenkre FC rode on Nishka Parkash brace and skipper Harshika Jain’s first-half goal to beat FSI Navi Mumbai 3-0 and book their place in the top 4 round of the competition. Needing a win to confirm their place in the top 4, Kenkre came out with attacking intent and broke the deadlock quickly when Striker Nishka Parkash opened the scoring in the 8th minute of the game. Soon Skipper Harshika Jain doubled the lead to make it 2-0 within the first 15 minutes of the game.
FSI struggled to get their foothold in the game as they struggled to find any opening against Kenkre. Nishka then added the third late in the second half to put the game to bed. The win confirmed Kenkre’s top finish as they edge out Aspire FC with a better head-to-head record.
FT: FSI Navi Mumbai 0 – 3 Kenkre FC (Nishka Parkash 8′, 80′, Harshika Jain 12′)
