KSA hold Income Tax in six goal thriller

Ashfaq Khan’s injury-time goal rescued a point for KSA against Income tax in game 8 of the MFA Harwood Champions League.
The search for the first win of competition continues for both KSA and Income Tax as they share the spoils in a six-goal thriller of a game held on Monday at Cooperage Stadium.
The game began with Income tax taking an early charge, a deep ball from Francisco Stalin inside the KSA box was headed straight onto the post by Ashrafali Makandkar the rebound luckily fell for him again but his second shot produced a goal-line clearance from Yash Vanveru as the score remained 0-0.
Around the 12th minute, Income Tax won a corner, Linekar’s pinpoint cross was headed home by an alert Fransico as IT took the lead. At the other end, Johnson created a couple of chances to get his side back on track. Johnson first set up Zaid in front whose left-footed shot was parried away by the keeper. This was followed by another direct free-kick attempt that went just wide.
Johnson was eventually rewarded with a goal when his shot from distance beat the keeper to find the net as KSA went into the break with score level at 1-1.
The second half began with KSA taking charging. Sanchit sets his teammate Johnson for the shot but the latter’s left curler was saved by the Income Tax keeper. Rollen Fernandes than added the goal to his name few minutes later after getting the ball from Johnson to make it 2-1
IT soon grew into the game, a cross from Craig was missed by Sandesh’s header, however, a few minutes later another cross from Linekar was headed home into the net by Merwin.
Four minutes later, Income Tax took the lead for the first time in the game. Troy played the ball to Craig, who put a brilliant cross into the box for Sandesh to celebrate his time third goal as IT went ahead 3-2
Income tax had an excellent opportunity later on in the game to put the game to bed. The rebound fell to the right side off the post and as another cross came in, Merwin jumped the highest only for his header to miss by a whisker.
In the dying minutes of the game, in a desperate attempt, KSA put all their men forward in attack. Asadul crossed the ball into the box where Pawan produced a diving header, which was well saved by the keeper, however, the rebound fell into the feet of Ashfaq, who made no mistake in finishing it off to make it 3-3
