Bihar, Haryana Schools win big in Under 17 Girls Subroto Cup

New Delhi, Tuesday, 20th September 2022: RKS Girls High School, Majrwa, Bihar and GSSS Alakhpura, Bhiwani, Haryana recorded high scoring wins in the group stages of the Under 17 Girls category in the 61st Subroto Cup played here at various venues of the city.

RKS Girls High School beat Fountainhead School, Surat 11 – 0 on Day 1 and followed it up on Day 2 by beating Riverside Natural School, Madhya Pradesh by scoring 14 unanswered goals. GSSS Alakhpura, Bhiwani beat Govt. HSS, Sangram, Arunachal Pradesh 6 – 0 on Day 1 and beat Hatimari High School, West Bengal 7 – 0 on Day 2.

Pool H saw high scoring matches over the two days. National Cadet Corps (NCC), Imphal scored 25 unanswered goals against Coast Guard Public School, Dalwada, Daman & Diu on Day 2 who also got beaten by St. Xavier’s High School, Belgaum, Karnataka by a scoreline of 14 – 0 on Day 1. On Day 2, St. Patrick’s High School, Gumla, Jharkhand beat St. Xavier’s High School, Karnataka by a scoreline of 13 – 0.

In other high scoring matches over the two days Riverside Natural School, Madhya Pradesh won 9 – 0 against Kendriya Vidyalaya, Dehradun, Govt. Model Senior Sec. School, Sector 22, Chandigarh scored a 6 – 1 win against Mayo College Girls School, Ajmer.

In other matches of Day 2 Govt. Higher Secondary School, Sangram, Arunachal Pradesh beat MP Hindu Inter College, Nainital 3 – 0 and Kendriya Vidyalaya, Dehradun beat Fountainhead School, Surat 2 – 1.
