Midfielder Chanso Horam pens a long term deal with Mumbai City FC
The 18-year-old Manipuri midfielder has penned a 4 year deal with Mumbai City FC.
Ever since the City Football Group has taken over the Mumbai based ISL franchise, the squad has seen additions of various prospective national players.
Starting from Indian internationals Farukh Chaudhary and Mandar Rao Dessai, Mumbai City has also roped in former Real Kashmir goalkeeper Phurba Tempa Lachenpa.
Chanso Horam is a juvenile who is highly regarded as one of the upcoming prospects of Indian football. He started playing professionally in the local Manipur State League, where his abilities soon became folklore. He represented Manipur in the Santosh Trophy back in 2018.
Soon after proving his mettle at the Santosh Trophy, Chanso received an opportunity to represent Neroca FC the previous season. He played a total of 15 matches for Neroca averaging 53 minutes per match. Horam is renowned for his pace in the midfield and is very flexible to switch roles. During his tenure with Neroca, coach Gift Raikhan often made him play into deeper roles where he proved to be beneficial for the team.
