1000+ kids to play football in Pune through “Just For Kicks” program

Enabling Leadership announced their “Just For Kicks” regional football league for children to take place tomorrow, 2nd of February 2020. The tournament will see 1000+ kids taking part in the beautiful game of football, in Bharati Vidyapith Ground, Katraj, Pune.

Enabling Leadership is global for-purpose organization that works with 6500+ children in India. It is a global nonprofit organisation working with at-risk children in India through fun and creative programs. Their flagship football program, “Just For Kicks”, is hosting its regional football league finals for our 1000+ students in Pune on 2nd February 2020.

“Just For Kicks” is a unique football-for-leadership program with over 4900 students enrolled from government and low-income schools in the cities of Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi and 13 villages in Dharwad, Karnataka. The program’s unique curriculum and instruction use football training to teach important leadership lessons in teamwork, “win-win”, healthy competition, risk-taking, creative thinking, and self-awareness.

Enabling Leadership programs also include “Music Basti” a form of learning imparted on children through the medium of music. The program also includes “Build Maya” (using lego blocks). The organization is focused on working with the low-income and under-resourced schools to enable children  develop the important life skills and become leaders in their communities.

This year, the Just For Kicks program is getting supported by Credit Suisse, Tata Trusts, BookASmile, ASICS Axis Bank Foundation, Divgi TTS Ebco Gain Access Mission Smile SKF and Veni Rao Foundation.
