Yuva President’s League: Glynelle, Nishka strike hat-tricks

Strikers Glynelle Picardo and Nishka Prakash, both scored hat-tricks each, to power 4 Corners SC to a fluent 6-1 win against CFCI (Community Football Club of India) in a Girls’ Under-17 match of the Yuva President’s League of the Rustomjee-MDFA football tournament at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel. Pranjali Mahapadi scored the only goal for the losers.

Meanwhile, Bhumika Mane played the lead role in leading Kenkre FC to a comfortable 2-0 win against India Rush FC in another match. The dashing striker Bhumika scored both the goals to secure Kenkre’s victory. Bhumika was later presented with the ‘Star of the match’ award.

Earlier, India Rush FC rode on the twin strikes by Tanishka Das and went onto record a convincing 2-0 win against Iron Born Eagles in a Girls’ Under-14 encounter.

In another match, CFCI and Footie First FC shared honours as they played out a tense 1-1 draw. Tisya Chugh was on target for CFCI, while Footie First scored through Sejal S. to force a draw.

Results – Girls’ Under-14: 

CFCI 1 (Tisya Chugh) drew with Footie First FC 1 (Sejal S.).

India Rush FC 2 (Tanishka Das 2) beat Iron Born Eagles 0.

Kenkre FC (Bhumika Mane 2′, 6′) 2-0 India Rush

4 Cornners (Glynelle 2′, 14′, 14′ Nishka 8′, 15′, 16′) 6-1 CFCI (Pranjali Mhabali 13′)
