WIFA Women’s Football League: Snigmay eased past Commandos

In today’s WIFA Women’s Football League fixture, Snigmay Football Club beat Commandos FC by a commendable 3-1 scoreline.

The match commenced with a slow start from both ends. Snigmay FC eventually broke the deadlock at the 33rd minute through Sapna Rajpure’s strike. She found the net after dribbling the opposition keeper to give Snigmay FC the lead. Sapna’s only goal was the decider until the first half.

As the second half started, Commandos FC bounced back through Piyusha Narke’s effort at the 56th minute. Archita Singh of Snigmay FC failed to keep Piyusha’s shot at bay which resulted in an equalizer. However, Snigmay kept on trying but failed to capitalize from several attempts. They finally got the breakthrough at the dying 10 minutes. Sapna completed her brace at the 81st minute and Pooja Gupta found the net at the 88th minute to ensure Snigmay all 3 points.

PIFA Sports FC faces South Mumbai United in tomorrow’s encounter of the WIFA Women’s Football League starting from 2:00 PM at the Cooperage Stadium, Mumbai.
