Super Division: SBI-Agnel play out game for the ages!

Mumbai, March 1, 2019: SBI and Father Agnel played out an eight goal thriller as they enthralled fans right till the last kick of the game at the Neville D’Souza Ground on Saturday.

In a game which finished at 4-4, Shreyas Vatekar’s goal in injury time helped Agnel rescue a valuable point.

Agnel had created the most chances in the first half and were 2-1 up thanks to a brace from Mohan Dass in the 16th and 39th minutes respectively.

Abhinav Vattolil was superb on the right flank as he put in pin point crosses and had SBI in trouble.

SBI did get on level terms thanks to a superb long ranger by Sachin Kumawat in the 31st minute only for Agnel to hit back with a goal from Dass.

Vattolil hit home underneath the goalkeepers’ leg in the 44th minute and had Agnel cruising to a comfortable win by the end of the first half.

But SBI had other ideas as they roared back to life in the second!

Vijay Nikam hit home a spot kick in the 66th minute to make it 3-2.

And when Sachin Kumawat’s shot from the right rolled into the net in the 73rd minute…SBI had made a comeback of epic proportions!

There was more drama as Bretty Stewart headed home in the climax to make it 4-3!

It surely was outstanding given the way they had played in the first half!

But Vatekar popped up from nowhere in injury time and slammed in from the last kick of the game to make it 4-4!

It was a dramatic end to an equally dramatic game!
