Super Division: Gadkari-Powale run riot as Income Tax bulldoze R.S.F (B)
Mumbai, February 9, 2019: Sandesh Gadkari and Prathamesh Powale starred as Income Tax beat R.S.F (B) 10-1 at the Neville D’Souza Ground on Saturday.
Gadkari scored six goals and Powale grabbed a hat-trick in a lop-sided game. Tyson Patel was the other goalscorer for the taxmen. Gadkari hit home in the 20th minute and Patel scored the second goal in the 25th minute.
Gadkari added two more goals in the 31st and 38th minutes to complete his hat-trick. The R.S.F (B) custodian pulled off three good saves and did damage limitation. Dayyan Malik missed from the spot for R.S.F (B).
Arif Sureshi pulled a goal back for R.S.F (B) in the 46th minute and reduced the deficit to 4-1. Gadkari scored from two consecutive headers in the 64th and 67th minutes to continue the goal spree.
Powale grabbed a hat-trick as he scored in the 75th, 85th and 88th minutes. He thoroughly exploited the space on the left and caused the opposition defence umpteen problems.
Gadkari smashed in a sixth goal in the 92nd minute to round off a comprehensive win.
