Round-up: MDFA Yuva President League 2018-19 concludes

Yuva President League

26th January 2019, Mumbai: The first edition of MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) Yuva President League successfully concluded on the Republic Day at the Cooperage Stadium. Started on 15th August 2018, the Yuva President League provided a huge platform to all the aspiring young footballers in Mumbai.

With the motive to develop grassroots in the heart of the city, it was an exceptional initiative by MDFA which saw hundreds of participants showcasing their abilities in the iconic Cooperage Stadium. MDFA President Aaditya Thackeray and WIFA Hon. Secretary Souter Vaz attended the final game (Iron Born vs India Rush) which was the highlight of the day.

The match went to penalties where Iron Born edged India Rush to emerge as the U-16 Champions. After a very long time, Cooperage Stadium was filled, not with the club supporters, but with the parents and relatives who dream to watch their kids reach the top level.
