MDFA Elite Play-Off round:
The play-off round of MDFA Elite division is all set to commence from 12th April, with GMSC facing off against CBI from Group B in the opening fixture. All the play-off matches will be played at Bandra while the semi-finals and finals will be held at Cooperage.
Defending champions ONGC are once again favourites for this season after a sensational start to the seasons in the preliminary stage winning 31 points from possible 33. Air India, who have always been among the thick of title race in previous seasons are having a topsy turvy season so far. The young squad have been often found wanting and would like to get their act straightened in this final stretch of the season. Similarly from group B, KSA with former India International Steven Dias in their ranks have had a stellar season with an unbeaten run in preliminary round while Customs, Kenkre, GMSC and new entrant U Mumba FC too could spring some surprises.
Two teams from each group will proceed to the semi-finals to be played on 2nd of May at Cooperage. The third place and final fixture of the league will be held two days later on 4th May at the same venue.
