Aman stars with brace as CFCI take top spot in table

Arafat Ansari’s late strike gave Dena Bank their first win of their MDFA campaign (Corporate) while in other game, CFCI secure pole position in MDFA Elite table (Private)

Aman Gaikwad’s double strikes powered CFCI (Community Football Club of India) to a 2-0 win over Sellebrity SC while in another encounter FSI Sea View SC secured a comfortable 3-0 win in Elite Division match of the MDFA Leagues 2018-2019 on Wednesday evening.

After an even opening half hour, CFCI drew first blood when Aman struck the opening goal in the 43^rd minute. He soon followed it up with a second mid way though the second half in the 71^st minute to make it two wins in a row.

In another MDFA Elite division (Private) encounter played at the Mumbai Football Arena, Sea View SC blanked Bombay Muslims 3-0. Ninad Chavan scored the opener at the stroke of half time before Jayesh Kurup, and Zaid Khan added two more goals in the dying minutes of the game.

Meanwhile in MDFA Elite (Corporate) match, Dena Bank secured their first win of the campign with a close 2-1 win over Century Rayon. Denzil Mascarenhas struck the opening goal to put Dena Bank in front in the 25^th minute. Century Rayon restored parity when Priyank Rajput found the net in the 74^th minute before Arafat Ansari scored the winner in the 85^th minute.

Dena Bank (Denzil Mascarenhas 25’, Arafat Ansari 85’) 2 – 1 Century Rayon (Priyank Rajput 74’)

CFCI 2 (Aman Gaikwad 43’, 71’) 2 – 0 Sellebrity SC

Sea View SC (Ninad Chavan 45’, Jayesh Kurup 86’, Zaid Khan 90’) 3 – 0 Bombay Muslims
