WCG Rink Football: Our Lady of Health clinch narrow win
Our Lady of Health ‘A’, Sahar struck prime form and produced a solid combined performance to blank St. Francis Xavier’s ‘C’, Vile Parle by an emphatic 4-0 margin in a Men’s second round match of the Willingdon Catholic Gymkhana organized 31st Inter-Parish 5-a-side Rink Football Tournament – 2018 for the Victor D’Mello Trophy and played under floodlights at the gymkhana’s tennis courts.
The Sahar Parish team scored through a brace of goals from Oliver Castelino and one each from Sylveston Pereira and Semon D’Souza to complete the rout.
In another match, St. Andrew’s ‘B’, Bandra overcame St. John the Evangelist ‘B’, Marol by a fighting 3-2 margin. Shaun Pinto, Christopher Khandagle and Rohan Kadam, all struck one goal each to secure St. Andrew’s win while Ravi Kaskar and Carl D’Souza scored for the losing side.
Results – 2nd round: St. Andrew’s ‘B’, Bandra 3 (Shaun Pinto, Christopher Khandagle 1, Rohan Kadam 1) beat St. John the Evangelist ‘B’, Marol 2 (Ravi Kaskar 1, Carl D’Souza 1).
Holy Cross ‘D’, Juhu 2 (Hameed Shaikh 1, Camillo Lobo 1) beat Holy Family, Andheri 1 (Logan George 1).
Our Lady of Health ‘A’, Sahar 4 (Oliver Castelino 2, Sylveston Pereira 1, Semon D’Souza 1) beat St.Francis Xavier’s ‘C’, Vile Parle 0.
