Producing a perfect combined performance Immaculate Conception ‘B’, Borivali romped to a fluent 3-0 win against St. Anthony’s ‘A’, Vakola in a Men’s Open pre-quarter-final match of the Willingdon Catholic Gymkhana organized 31st Inter-Parish 5-a-side Rink Football Tournament – 2018 for the Victor D’Mello Trophy and played under floodlights at the gymkhana’s tennis courts.

Strikers Calvin Pereira, Mohit Gatty, Souvardhan Shetty, all capitalized on the chances that came their way to score a goal each to secure the Borivali side’s victory.

Earlier, in the Ladies quarter-final encounter, Namrata Thakur netted the lone winner as Bandra Packers Blue got the better of Holy Family, Andheri 1-0 to advance into the penultimate round.

Results – Open Ladies (Quarter-finals): Bandra Packers Yellow 1 (Namrata Thakur) beat Holy Family, Andheri  0.

Men Veterans (Pre-quarters): Crazy Boys 2 (Salim Sheikh 2) beat Air India 1 (Anthony Fernandes).

Bandra Packers Yellow 1 (Ranzie Kalicharan) beat Vintage FC 0.

Men Open (Pre-quarters): Immaculate Conception ‘B’, Borivali 3 (Calvin Pereira, Mohit Gatty, Souvardhan Shetty) beat St. Anthony’s ‘A’, Vakola 0.
