Twitter goes crazy as Portugal survive against Morocco

Cristiano Ronaldo’s 4th-minute thumping header helped Portugal survive against Morocco
Defending European Champions, Portugal managed to secure a 1-0 victory against Morocco, in their second game of Group B. Cristiano Ronaldo put Portugal ahead in the 4th minute with a thumping header, and that proved to be the difference between these two sides.
With this victory, Portugal managed to keep their qualification hopes intact, while Morocco’s World Cup chances have ended. It was Moroccans who ran the show, dazzled the audience, but they were not so clinical in front of the goal, and the consequence was catastrophic.
Morocco defenders failed to mark Cristiano Ronaldo tightly and strictly in the 4th-minute and the Portuguese Skipper exploited it to give his team an early lead. The goal also saw Cristiano Ronaldo adding one more to his tally and making it 4 goals.
Morroco’s high-pressing football often forced the Portuguese players to commit unwanted flaws. They were dispossessed many times and had to ride their luck to get all those 3 points.
Here’s how the Twitter world reacted to the game:
Just finished with the Portugal vs Morocco game & let me state quite unequivocally that Morocco were terrific but unlucky & Portugal scrappy n awful! Take away @Cristiano Ronaldo & Portugal are absolutely zilch! And should someone cramp him up then it’s curtains for them!

I’m so proud of how Morocco played today, everyone watching agrees Morocco was the better team. We’re officially out of the World Cup but this team will be legendary in the next one mark my words. 🇲🇦✊🏽

Morocco were incredible today. What both Ronaldo/Messi need but don’t have, is a team like Morocco creating chances. What Morocco need but don’t have, is a player like Ronaldo/Messi to finish. Outplayed both Iran & Portugal. Probably the best-ever team to exit the WC with 0 pts?

Portugal had nothing but Cristiano.
Morocco had everything but Cristiano.#WorldCup
