Second Division: Milan FA & Bharat FC wins big
9th January 2018, Mumbai: On Tuesday night, under the floodlights, two MDFA Second Division matches were contested at the St. Xavier’s Ground, Parel. Milan Football Academy met Sagar Mitra Mandal (B), whereas, Bharat FC locked horns against Poinsur Gymkhana.
Group A – Milan Football Academy (Saurav Nikam 9′, 17′ & 24′ and Ateeque Ansari) 4-0 Sagar Mitra Mandal (B)
Milan Football Academy registered their second win of the campaign after breezing past Sagar Mitra Mandal (B) 4-0 at St. Xavier’s Ground, Parel. Sagar Mitra Mandal (B) lost their third match of the season and is lying third from the bottom.
Saurav Nikam turned out to be the hero for Milan FA as he bagged a fantastic first-half hat-trick to run-riot against a hapless Sagar Mitra Mandal (B) side. Ateeque Ansari wrapped up the game later in the second-half after scoring Milan FA’s fourth and final goal.
Group E – Bharat FC (Devesh More 18′, Sahil Marchande 40′ and Ashutosh Gaikwad 48′) 3-0 Poinsur Gymkhana
Poinsur Gymkhana’s misery continues as Bharat FC thumped them 3-0 in a Group E encounter at St. Xavier’s Ground, Parel. With this win, Bharat FC has also earned their first three-points of the season while Poinsur Gymkhana lost their sixth consecutive game and is currently lying at the bottom of Group E table.
Devesh More opened the scoring in the 18th minute which was followed by Sahil Marchande and Ashutosh Gaikwad’s solitary goal later in the match.
