Salsette FC and HDFC snatch all three points in Super Division

8th April 2018, Mumbai: On Saturday evening, Salsette FC encountered Chheda Nagar Prodigies, whereas, HDFC played GMSC in a crucial MDFA Super Division clash at the St. Xavier’s Ground (Parel) and Mumbai Football Arena (Andheri), respectively. Sahil Mukane inspired Salsette FC in a 3-0 win while HDFC thumped GMSC to snatch all three points.

Group A: Salsette FC (32′, 60′ & 79′) 3-0 Chheda Nagar Prodigies

It turned out to be a great weekend for Salsette FC as they romped to a 3-0 win against a spirited Chheda Nagar side to pick up all three points. It was Sahil Mukane’s hat-trick which did the trick for Salsette.

Chheda Nagar hasn’t been on the mark this season as they have underperformed for the majority of the season. Salsette rose to the occasion and displayed an inch-perfect performance to pick up all three points. All the three goals were scored in the second-half. A goal in the 52nd, 60th and 79th minute helped Sahil to complete his hat-trick and seal a crucial win.

Group D: HDFC (Titus Uttankar x 2, Prakyath Shetty and Ramesh Singh) 4-1 GMSC (Amit)

HDFC continued their dominant performance as they sunk GMSC 4-1 in a Group D fixture of Super Division at Mumbai Football Arena (Andheri). It was an incredible first-half attacking display which laid the foundation for a yet another win. In-form attacker Titus Uttankar bagged a brace, whereas, Prakyath Shetty and Ramesh Singh scored one each.

At the break, HDFC were 3-1 up. For GMSC, Amit scored the lone goal which was a terrific strike in the first half. With this win, HDFC has closed the gap with table-toppers Millat FC.
