MDFA Youth League: FSI, PIFA Colaba pick comfortable wins

A dominating performaces gave FSI, PIFA Colaba comfortable wins while Hegdewar boys edge Bombay Gymkhana in the MDFA Youth League games.
The day began with PIFA Colaba garnering a comfortable 3-0 win over Classic Sports Club. Early goals from Amrit Samwel and Mukesh Rathod helped PIFA race to 2-0 lead within 8 minutes of the Kick-off. After break, Koustubh Panchal struck early to finish off the game 3-0 in favour of PIFA Colaba.
The next fixture saw FSI register a thumping 6-0 win over Lemon Break Academy. Karan Prajapati struck a hat-trick while teammates Aman Sayed, Bhupati Chandra and Yash Pednekar chipped in one each to complete the routing. In the nfollowing game, Aryan Kumar’s seventh minute strike gave Mumbai Warriors an edgy 1-0 win over Maurya Youngstars.
In other fixtures of the day, Nitesh Mores’ brace gave Hegdewar Boys a 2-1 win over Bombay Gymkhana. Rosh Rodrigues struck in the 2nd minute of the game to put Bombay Gymkhana into early lead. However Nitesh More struck the equaliser in the dying minutes of the first half to make it 1-1. Bombay Gymkhana’s defence once again lapsed in the dying minutes of the second half as Nitesh completed his brace giving Hegdewar Boys the 2-1 win.
In another game, Bombay FC failed to hold on their two goal lead as ICL side’s resurgent second half display ended the game at 2-2. Ishaan Chhari opened the scoring early in the game before Sahil Gaikwad doubled it seven minutes in to second half. Shahbaz Shaikh pulled one back in the 38th minute four minutes into the full time Maykal Pekao equalised for ICL to make it 2-2.
