MDFA Update: India On Track, Mangesh SA end campaign without any wins

21st January: 3rd Division:

With the cramped window of dates for conducting three of the five divisions in MDFA with one of the factors being the record 100+ teams in 3rd division, the associations went ahead with the play-off schedule once the top two teams of each group were confirmed keeping the others games scheduled appropriately to time slot available on later dates. One such date was yesterday where three games were scheduled to continue finishing up the available league games. While the result of these games had no effect on play-off standing it was important for teams to finish off their campaign on higher note.

In the opening game of the day, Alpesh Ghanariya’s fourth minute strike had put Mangesh SA into the lead only to be denied by Nimesh Pawar’s 2nd half strike as the former ended its 3rd division campaign without a win, after registering just two points in seven games. At the other end 7B Star ended at the fifth spot after securing 8 points in seven games. In the next match, O’sheish FC faced Om Sai Dham, both sides has already qualified for their play-off, playing their last league game it was former who came out with a dominant performance to finish 2-0 with Rahil Damani and Zainuddin Shaikh scoring late in the game.
