MDFA to host Barcelona vs Juventus Legends game at DY Patil
The game that was being teased for months has finally came into fruition with Mumbai District Football Association – MDFA pulling off a major coup as they host Barcelona and Juventus for a Legends Game.
Mumbai District Football Association – MDFA has decided to organize a classic match between FC Barcelona Legends vs Juventus Legends next month. After the high octane U-17 World Cup, Football returns to Navi Mumbai as DY Patil Stadium is set to host the Marquee event. The match is scheduled to be played on 27th of April 2018.
This is a big news for football lovers of Mumbai and its suburbs as MDFA along with Football Next Foundation made sure the city football lovers gets a classic Legends game involving legendary footballers of the two big European clubs. With this exhibition game, MDFA has become the first District Association in the country to hold such a great match where two giant football club of the world will take part.
Football Next Foundation the organisation that helped MDFA in organizing this match as earlier been responsible for hosting the German powerhouse and Champions, FC Bayern Munich in the city of Kolkata in the year 2008. The match between FC Bayern Munich and Mohun Bagan A.C. witnessed a turnout of 120,000 people who came to bid adieu to German legend Oliver Kahn as he put on his gloves for one last time in professional football.
